DOWN'S SYNDROME NORTH EAST
On Sunday 11th March 2001, around 50 children aged 7 and under and their parents gathered together for a music day and had great fun.

It started at 10:30am with a piccolo session of interactive singing and music enjoyed by all  - parents included!  After coffee or juice for the kids, was a session of movement and circle songs and entertainment by the theatrical group "Monster Productions".  A lovely lunch was provided and the children had an opportunity to use the soft-play and sensory rooms whilst parents had time to chat and recover.

After lunch was a quiet time whilst Martin told some entertaining stories before a roof raising rendition of "I Am The Music Man"!  There was time for everyone to take a turn on the various instruments  the drum kit proving particularly popular before the final sing-a-long came all too soon.

Each child received a wooden flute and a percussion instrument as a lovely souvenir of a brilliant day.

What are we doing next week Kim?
